While Max Zhupikov was born at 1st of April – the national day of humor and practical jokes - he stays gloomy more often: no one believes in his birthday. He chose which instrument to play just like George – once he noticed a violin in a shop he shouted with all his lungs power: "Buy me, mommy!" No arguments worked: that a lot of time or hard studying must be spent for a pleasure to play. So Max had been sent to a musical school №2 in the city of Taganrog.

He came to Saint Petersburg as a tourist. But when he got acquainted by accident with musicians of "Rozhdestvo" band he preferred to stay.

Later there were festivals, bands like "Vyhod", "Ad Libitum" - which became a second musical school and famed Max as a folk-player. There were a lot of other musical projects with names already forgotten, but each of them contributed to Max's experience, manner of playing and worldview. And the "SherWood" band - first started as a high hope and then reached a deadlock.

Max collaborates with many bands of Saint Petersburg (but not only!). Among them are "Sontse-Hmary", "Lena Te", "Wolfsangel", "Duce and Neofolk" and many others. It is a wonder how he manages to be in time anywhere.

He has a diploma in hi-tech engineering, earns money as a system administrator in an architectural studio and doesn't drink anything stronger than coffee.
